Today’s stupid lawsuit

Palm’s m130 handheld is only capable of displaying 4,096 colors per pixel, instead of the 65,000 colors Palm had originally claimed. So, of course, someone is suing. I think the plaintiffs should win only if they can correctly identify the colors they were deprived of.

Two things: I k now there’s a massive difference between 256 and 64,000 in terms of photo’s, graphics etc – what would be the difference from a photo perspective?
Second point – I think the litigous nature of lawsuits over trivial things keeps companies on their toes….although maybe it stifles innovation…..i dunno…i get confused easily!!
